What are payment signing rights?

Payment signing rights are a set percentage, which is granted to the User in order to sign payments. There are five possible signing rights that can be assigned: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%.

How do they work?

You are able to set up a requirement, that a singular User or Users (if there are several signers) are required to comply with, i.e. payments from 5000 EUR require a 50% signing right to be executed, while payments from 10000 EUR require a 100% signing right to be executed.

Why are they useful?

Signing rights, which are set up correctly, help to mitigate risks and ensure security for all Users, while using Internet bank. The functionality helps to create restrictions for certain categories of payments, which helps to set up a "four-eye" principle.
If no signing rights are defined within Internet bank, all Users with the ownership of Right to make payments are assigned 100% signing rights by default.

How to enable the functionality

  1. Log in to your company’s Internet bank
  2. On the menu bar click “Settings”
  3. In column “Settings” select “User rights and limits”
  4. In the upper part of the screen click on "Signing settings for accounts" tab
  5. Choose the account, for which you want the rights to apply to
  6. Create the signing right categories that you require

I.e. in the column "For amounts from" type in 5000 EUR in the 50% signing right row and 10000 EUR in the 100% signing right row. This makes it so every payment from 5000 EUR will require an overall signing right of 50% to be executed and all payments above 10000 EUR will require an overall signing right of 100% to be executed.

  7. Click “Continue”
  8. Check the data and approve the new settings using your log-in tool

After completion of the aforementioned steps, please navigate to the User rights and limits menu, and perform the following steps

  1. Select the User, for which you wish to assign a signing right for
  2. Click "Change user rights" and navigate to the column titled "Signing rights"
  3. Use the dropdown menu in the "Signing rights" column, to select the weight in percentages

Make sure to consider whether it is necessary for Users to have 100% signing rights assigned to them in the perspective of their responsibilities using Internet bank. We strongly suggest having 100% signing rights assigned only to highest-ranking officers.
