When a payment card holder carries out transactions (e.g. pays at the point of sale or online, withdraws cash from the ATM) with Mastercard payment card in any currency, the funds are debited from the payment card account in euros. If the transaction currency is other than euro, the transaction amount is converted to euros on the basis of the currency exchange rate fixed by Mastercard International*, effective on the date of data processing. The payment currency will be converted to euros subject to the currency exchange fee indicated in the Pricelist. Reservation of the funds on the payment card account is subject to the currency exchange rate of that day, and the debiting of funds is subject to the currency exchange rate of the debiting day plus the 2.65 per cent currency exchange fee. Thus reservation of funds and debiting of funds may be subject to different currency exchange rates.
