SEB has made a long-term decision to offer employees a hybrid work model
During the past 18 months the global pandemic has limited our choices about how and where we work. At the same time, it has changed the work habits in most industries. Taking into account the needs of employees, SEB has made a long-term decision to offer employees a hybrid work model, combining work from the office and work from home.
Ugnius Vipartas, Head of HR at SEB bank in Lithuania: „Although we had guidelines for remote work even before the pandemic, during this time we have learned to appreciate the benefits of allowing employees to work from home, for instance, the reduced need for commuting and improved work-life balance. Still, at SEB our office will remain a busy place where we meet. It is where we build our culture, share new ideas, learn and collaborate.“
Rūta Valatkienė, Head of HR at SEB‘s global business services centre in Vilnius: „The global pandemic has accelerated the transformation of the workplace. We hear that employees wish to have more freedom in planning their work week. We will offer the opportunity to combine work from the office with work from home to those employees whose tasks can be performed remotely without any additional risks. Teams who are working with sensitive data and systems such as processing of payments, anti-money laundering investigations and some other functions that require a certain level of security and control will continue to do their work in the office.“
