App authentication possibilities
- Security level of SEB app is the same as that of the code calculator. The app can be used to log in to the mobile app, access third party service providers, confirm online payments, and identify customers when they call to SEB Contact centre

You will create and use PIN1 and PIN2 codes to confirm payments, as well as allows you to set up biometrics (fingerprint or Face-ID) for confirming payments of up to 150 euros in a single transaction and 500 euros in consecutive payments. If the payment exceeds either of these limits, PIN2 is required for confirmation
Using app for authentication
Becoming SEB customer via mobile app
- Download and install the SEB Lietuva mobile app.
- Open the app and at the bottom of the first screen choose “Open account”.
- Follow the registration process to create your PIN1, PIN2, user ID and enable biometrics, if necessary.
Logging into the SEB app
- Every time you open the app, PIN1 or biometric authentication is asked.
- If authentication is successful, the app’s main dashboard will open.
Confirming app transactions
- Fill in the payment form, press the “Confirm” button.
- If it’s required, confirm the transaction with PIN2 code or use biometrics – face ID or fingerprint scanner. If you confirm payment with biometrics, choose the correct payable amount visible in SEB app.
- If the PIN2 code was entered correctly or biometrics recognised, payment confirmation will automatically appear in a few seconds.
Confirming online and bank card payments outside the app
- When making a payment, enter your SEB’s bank card details or choose SEB as a payment method.
- In the e-commerce login window, choose SEB app as an authentication method.
- Enter your User ID and personal identity number.
- Open the SEB app on your phone (if it’s not prompted automatically).
- Use biometric authentication or enter the PIN1 and/ or PIN2 code. If you confirm payment with biometrics, in the app choose the same code visible in the e-commerce site’s internet bank window. If you confirm payment with PIN2 code make sure that the code in the internet bank matches the one visible in SEB app.
- If the PIN2 code was entered correctly or biometrics recognised, payment confirmation will automatically appear in a few seconds.
Blocked app’s authentication
To prevent your funds and data from potential fraud, you will be logged out from your app and PIN codes will be disabled, if any of the PIN codes are entered incorrectly five times in a row. To resume using SEB app, you will need to set up new PIN codes.
For users who became SEB customers via the app:
- In the first screen of the app choose “Other” as an authentication method and press the login button. Do not press the “Open account”.
- Enter your User ID, personal identity number, press “Login” and follow authentication process.
For customers who have full access to the internet bank:
- In the first screen of the app choose any other authentication tool, such as Smart-ID or code calculator, and press the login button. Do not press the “Open account”.
- Enter your User ID and log in. Follow the PIN setup process. Once the PIN codes have been set up, you will again be able to use the SEB app for authentication
Frequently asked questions
If you have forgotten any of your app’s authentication PIN codes, you should log out of the SEB mobile app completely and go through the authentication process again to create new PIN codes.
After rooting, the device becomes inherently insecure and cannot be trusted anymore. We strongly recommend removing the root access. If you need that for various purposes, we suggest using rooted device as your second phone. Do all your security critical activities (like banking, e-mail accounts for password recovery etc.) in nominal devices.
